Fauvism - Fauvists enjoyed bold colors and brushwork. They wanted to use color in both an expressive way (what does it mean) and a descriptive way (what does it look like).

Cubism - Cubists sought to develop a new way of seeing, something about more than just one viewpoint or creating the illusion of space. Cubist paintings depict real things but from multiple viewpoints at the same time.
